Elissa Auther, Associate Professor of Contemporary Art at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, was recently featured in Denver’s Westword, highlighting her role as co-curator of the Fem & Co. series at MCA Denver. This wildly popular series explores feminist issues in pop culture, social policy and art, through creative forms of pedagogy. As compared with a lecture series, Fem & Co. is a more of a forum for critical debate surrounding feminist issues. Be sure to check out the article here, there is a great Q&A with Auther, touching on everything from upcoming projects and art trends, to hypothetical gifting and true bravery of expression.

Fem & Co. runs through next week with sold out events on April 4th and and April 11th, with discussions about Boobs and The Fine Art of Talking About Sex, respectively. Be sure to check out the artwork EBD developed for this year’s Fem & Co series.
